Overflow issue

Even with 2 U tubes (the right angles 5/8", and the 3/4"), it ends up giving a max flow that's about equal to 180 GPH; just the numbers from before added. At this point, the drain section raises its water level by about 1/4 inch, but is still well under the top of the baffle (about an inch), which means it can handle the GPH I was trying to go for (score! something went right! lol).

The teeth definitely are holding it back. Once it gets a bit above them, the flow stabilizes a bit, if it's not too fast for the tube I'm using. I'm not too worried about that though, as I planned the water level in the DT backsump (this is going on a RSM250, which is why I'm attempting to use that accessory kit) around having about 1/2 inch above the tops of the teeth.

It's the flow from the inner to outer box that's disconcerting. I wanted to get ~150-200 GPH. Definitely more than the 60 I got from the accessory kit U tube. But the reason I'm not using a 1 1/4 inch standard sized U tube is because I know for a fact I'm going to have too slow of a flow through it to keep bubbles from building up. That's why I have the 5/8" and 3/4" stuff.

 

That was the problem. The height of the outer box relative to the inner box was keeping this thing from opening up.

It can now do (at least) 160 through just the 3/4" tube, without getting more than 1/8" over the tops of the teeth. It seems they're the limiting factor now instead of the U Tube lol.

Now I gotta remount the outer box so it hangs about an inch lower.
