I walk into LFS and they had an open brain that is fading away. I have a good relation with them and they gave it to me Free of charge. Its almost gone about 1/3 left with tissue (5 inch coral in total). 3 open mouths for now. Coral is retracted now, Showing some skeleton on ridges.

I dont know where to start to save it. ALL i did so far is target feed it with cyclop-eeze. Any tips on how to save it?

yes, Its bad. The color is green/brown skeleton, I fresh water dipped it for about 10 min in same PH water. No critters left in bucket after dip. I am going to feed it again with lights out. Maybe it will chock something down. Will see, hopefully it still alive in the morning. If it makes it ill post photos later this week.

Good luck. I bought one and didn't notice some skeleton was exposed. It stayed tha way for a while but then it started receding more. Once it started it really took off and you could almost see it dissolving away hour by hour. My nitrates were somewhat high at the time. Here aresome pictres of mine as it was fading. Paul's Reef: I Lost My Brain I hope you have better luck than I did.

It did not make it. The tissue just keep waiting away. I could do nothing. I really had my chance stacked against me cause when I took it out of the water. I could just smell death from it. It was really stinky, Its was just that Death smell. Anyways.

    thanks.

Do you add reef plus to your tank? The amino acids in that product might help it. You can also try feeding marine snow. The smaller micron size(.2 to 100) of marine snow will help.

Removing dead tissue might be a good idea as it releases toxic substances.
