Only 3 Days. Sweet!

It only took three days from introducing coralline liverock into my aquarium to get it spreading!

My levels:
pH: 8.2
Calcium 450-500ppm
DKH: 10
Nitrate: 0PPM
Nitrite: 0PPM

I took the live rock out and scrubbed all the dead diatoms off of them three days ago to begin the reef.

I think the key was to get the Seachem Phosguard going in my hang on tank filter and go to dark blue actinic lighting only 14 hours a day. Blue LEDs at night as I do have fish in the tank.

I hit up the coralline liverock with a toothbrush along with crushing a small piece in a plastic bag and poured it back into the aquarium to help it spread a bit while the filter and wet dry system were off for a few hours.

I am sure I'll hate the stuff later but It will be great to get the reef holding together better with it and the better coloring.

Not the best photos but it is definitely there where it was not before so I am excited like a total noob.

 

Congratulation! pretty soon you're tank is going to be covered in coralline algae and you'll have to spend hours scraping it off.;D

lol I know! I gotta get some going through! The white epoxy I used to join the live rock is not the best stuff in the world for sure.
