Nocturnal hermits?

    So i my hermits nocturnal or just retarted?
    They dont do much scavenging during day light, spend most there time under my rocks, and at night there little party animals.
    This normal?
    Because in my gf's tank they're always scavenging around

    Are they new in your tank? Maybe they just have to settle in to your light schedule if they came from half way across the globe. Or maybe they are second-shift workers. Now get some first-shift crabs to alternate, and you've got yourself a clean-up crew that never quits!

    Well they're not really new no.
    Like 2 months old.
    I think it may be the species, (bought the cheapest ones there lol)

    hm thats weird. some of mine do that too.....i have like 3 or 4 during the day and like 7 or 8 at night working,

    Im sure in the wild, there is less chance of hermits and other inverts to be eaten during the night due to many fish being avid day feeders. Could be a natural instinct? who knows!

    *shrugs* maybe it's just YOURS. Mine have always moved around day & night. Doesn't matter what one, they always moved. Not really sure on this one.
