    Below is a pic of this encrusing monti when I got the frag. Now the polyps are almost completely receeded, and it's been this way since placing it about 3 weeks ago. My other SPS are fine, including two plating montis at the same level in the tank. My thoughts are either flow or light. It is located somewhat under a koralia, so the flow is coming up into the powerhead, meaning it's mosly laminar across the coral. The coral is located halfway up the tank under 6 t5s (10 hrs for white, 12 hrs for blue), perhaps that's too much?

    Any suggestions?

    Params are "normal". nitrate and phosphate 0, calc 480, alk 12, mag 1480, sg 1.026, temp 78-79.

    PE = Polyp Extension

    I would try moving it to a different location in your tank to see if you get better results.

    What kind of flow, lighting and placement was it in before you bought it sometimes SPS can take 4-6 weeks to settle in to its new home. If anything is off from its original home it could set it off. I'd wait it out before moving it as long as the colouration is good. JM2C ;)

    I agree with trijam, your big three values are much higher than retailers levels.

    The frag came from a fellow reefer's tank, who I believe keeps his values similar (except for Mag, I know it's high). I'll leave it in place a while longer and see what it does... its just funny because the other sps are thriving, go figure.

    Thanks for the replies all.
