I changed fish tanks and my niger trigger is now very white. unrecognizably white. it swims back and forth now for hours. is it going to die?

when you did the change was the sg the same for both tanks and did you accumulate the fish before adding him to the tank?
also how long has the second tank been up?

Do you have cured live rock in the tank?
Is it still in a cycle?

no...i was taking a marine bio class in school. had everything there. it was a last minute thing to set up a tank at home and i couldnt take the water or live rock. All the rock coral sand etc. is new.

i guess now my big question is. will it survive?.

i have a diamond goby, bicolor dottyback, tamato clown, purple firefish, and small puffer that all seem to be doing fine.

do you know your parameters i ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, salinity, temp

you need to find these before we can help more. if you dont have a test kit you need to by one, because until you know the problem we dont have the solution

You didn't honestly put all these fish into an uncycled tank did you?

They might be fine for a couple days as the ammonia starts to build up, but then the ammonia will get bad enough that will cause severe burning to their gills, and they will likely try to jump out of the water because it gets that painful.

Is there nowhere you can keep these fish (in a cycled tank) until your new tank finishes the cycle?
