    You could also use the old trick to get a hospital tank up and running quickly. That is to let a sponge or two sit in your existing tank for a week or so that way it builds up a nice bacteria colony. At that point bring them over into your new tank with some sand from your existing tank. This will help seed your new one. After that maybe transfer a fish every week or so over into your new tank keeping an eye on parameters. If you could bring over a piece of live rock or get a get some base rock in your new setup it would give the nitrifying bacteria a place to colonize. I believe they just need surface area.
