    Hi!,

I'm new to the forum and also to the hobby. I live in New England area and I recently purshased a 60 gal cube and I love it but, I have not set it up yet. This is my first tank ever(of my own). I may be asking questions as they come up. Good reefing!

I have 4 kids and just recently moved into a house. I know what it is like to live in cramped spaces lol.

LOL! thank you all, I've been reading a lot but theres a lot of stuff that confuse me. I still need lighting. Nano Like you saw on my HELP thread I was not ready to start the tank yet but I was not gonna let pass 50 lbs or so of live sand from a previous owner for free. My thank is 2x2x2

lighting can come later sand/rock dont need any lighting...i would recommend getting it running and cycled and that will give you plenty of time to figure out lighting

most say to rinse it, i didnt rinse mine since it was a shallow sandbed previously...reguardless its going to get a cycle but the lights you can hold off on as well as the rest of the equipment as long as you have water movement...a power head oor hob filter will be good enough until it cycles and you can start adding the rest in

OK! I wont rinse cause I know he had good stuff on it and some still live. Besides, he works at the LFS. I will get it all started and as soon as I can I'll post some pictures and updates.

BTW, I got a quiet flow 55/75 HOB filter, a koralia EVO 1050 GPH power head and a 250 watts aqueon pro flter.

Hopefully by next week I can get my rock in. I'm getting about 80 lbs from another guy that also lost his agressive tank (75 gal) and he will be getting a shark tank now.
