so since i am moving up to a 135, instead of a 75, i have decided to change the amount of shrimp i want in my tank, i was thinking 6 cleaner shrimP??, 10 or so peppermint shrimp, and 2 fire shrimp, keep in mind that i LOVE shrimp, and the more there is, the more socail they are, which means they will come out more, thus being able to see them, i no i would have to feed them some how

As long as you make sure that they get fed enough you should be good. Those are all peaceful shrimp. Enjoy, and post pics!:)

Shrimp are opportunistic omnivores, hence, their ability to forage for food within hard to reach areas areas of your tank such as rockwork and corals that would otherwise be neglected by fish especially.
You would be better off, with the amount of shrimp you plan on maintaining, by offering pellet or even wafer type foods that will sink to the bottom in efforts to allow your benthic feeders, slower feeders and inverts the ability have a better chance of capturing food before the quicker fish species residing in the pelagic region of your tank!
You are correct, that shrimp are awesome and can really add to the diversity, uniqueness and beauty of any reef tank!
Just be careful with the types of coinhabitants you plan on keeping in the same tank as your shrimp and the stability of your water parameters combined with the acclimation and decision on the heathiest species of shrimp will afford you the best chances of success!
    Good luck!
Let us know how you make out as I'm sure many of us are anxious to find out how you make out!

I like shrimp also...next best thing to exotic fish and wide variety to choose from. A loaded shrimp tank would look really cool. My tanks always need more. ;)

Don't overlook Harlequins. Just about the coolest shrimp around...

Very cool omard! I've watched those videos before I think. That harlequin looks like it could turn over a car. Strong little guys.

Am not certain if the Harlequins will go after brittle stars. I know they don't like asterina's...at least mine would not eat them.

But absolute hell on sandsifters, CC's and most especiall linka's (kind of expensive fish food - but their favorite)...but got my LFS to give me sick appearing/or damaged ones when he got them in.

    CC's are only $4-5, SS's $10 there.

1 good sized star will last them about a month.

So not terribly expensive to maintain.

PM Tangster he can get/or has the good ones (Hawaiian, So. Pacific types - very colored) at a good price.

You really want a mated pair (which they nearly always come as)

    Go for it.
