New Aquarium

Update 4:

Hey All,

I just recieved my lighting system from UPS today. I have opped away from LED until my budget can handle them. Yes I know in the long run they'd be cheaper but I can't fork out the 3K it would take to cover my tank. I found a good deal on Ebay and purchased 2 48" T5/MHL fixtures. Each Fixture has 2 250 watt MHL bulbs (15K), and 2 48" T5 actinic bulbs, plus 6 LED moon lights.

I got both fixtures for a total $247. I will be posting images soon.

Also spoke with the company I am recieving the tank, stand and canopy from and they have stated they should be in posession of the tank this week and should be able to deliver it next weekend around the 10th. I also should be getting a FedEx delivery on the 1st for a purchase of a lot more rocks and sand I ordered through MarcoRocks.

 

Update 5:

All of the Rocks and sand have arrived. Started cycling my rocks yesterday under one of the lights with about 5 lbs of live rock and added some Purple Up to it to helo increase the growth of the coraline algea. Photos will by posted tomorrow afternoon of the tank, lights and rocks, after I get home from work.

The only differance between this one and mine is the ones I bought were the last two they had and only came with 2 T5s not 4.

 

My apologies to all photos are coming. My son has decided to play with my camera and misplaced it in his toy room. Once I find it I will post photos.

 

Do you guys know how hard it is to redo plumbing on a tank once the Display has already been filled and running for a few days. Finally got the last few pieces I needed to get my fuge up and running, but now I have to destroy a lot of plumbing just to get it up and running. This is going to really suck, and sorry I haven't posted pictures yet. My son took the camera with him on a trip I will try to get some up soon.
