Its strong enough for the corals I listed previously clownlover
and probably loads more I did not list
once you get the easier species looking good and are on top of your water quality and parameter maintenance , you could look at LPS corals, like bubbles, Torch, Hammer and Frogspawn as they would also be fine under that much lighting IME

Thanks, have bought a striped mushroom, and will wait a while to see how it goes, water levels are good so far, I keep testing every 2-3 days.

looking good there clownlover - good choice of coral to start with

IMO you dont have enough surface water movement - I can see the white milky scum which are trapped protiens on the water surface , the surface tension binds them there and your skimmer cannot get at them

so I would move one of the power heads up and direct it accross the top of the water, you want to generate a nice ripple all over top of the water surface, this will then put the protiens into the main body of water where skimmer can get at them

you could remove the film using non perfumed kitchen roll/ tissue, lay it accross water surface and lift and the scum/ film will be lifted of with the paper

but it will come back, unless you get more surface water movement

    hope that helps

    levels: ammonia = 0, nitrite = 0 and nitrate = 5 ppm

I still haven't bought a calcium or alkalinity test yet, but will come

Fish seems to be doing extremeley well, darts to the front when he sees me....mushroom also seems to be doing well, one thing, when the lights are off the mushroom shrinks, and when the light is on, it expands, is this normal?
