I have a few questions about mushrooms.
How do they reproduce? Do they split?
Also, I have had a 3 that have come un attached from their original rock and I was trying to glue them to another one but they won't stay glued down.
I have seen where people have suggested useing tule or bridal ribbon to wrap around them to hold them down.
Are there any side effects with useing this material in your tank?
any other help/advice would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

They spilt, or move and leave "babies". Also glue will NOT work on shrooms, they will just slim up and the glue wont stick. Try putting then in a container with holes in it and lots of rubble and they should attach them selfs.

No adverse affects from using ribbion to tie them down!

Nope, glue sure doesn't work. I learned that the hard way......a tube fo glue and pulling my hair out because I thought I was doing something wrong showed me otherwise :shifty:

Yes I was also wondering if I cut one in half if each hald would "regenerate"
anyone have any idea about this?
If I do cut it, do I need to cut through the mouth as well?

Yup and no need to have the mouth in it. To get shrooms i put a couple threw my return pump and tons of pieces get blasted back into the frag tank and then i go from one shroom to 100 in a month or two.

yes... ive heard of this one guy cutting one mushroom into 8. Ive never tried though.
There must be some portion of the mouth on each section for it to regenerate.

after you cut them they will release a slime for a day or two so u might want to put them in a separate tank until they stop the slime!
