So I currently have a MP10 in my 29 Biocube and would like to use night mode on the mp10. I am planning to purchase a reef controller and was wondering if that could talk to my
Mp10 and enable night mode when my lights go off.

    Thanks

I believe the Apex is the only controller that will communicate with vortechs. However, if you have the ES model, you can program it to start when your lights go off...and come back on when your lights come on. You to it manually through the vortech es module once, and it stays until you remove power from the unit.

    Thanks for the reply!

I just have the basic MP10 but the Apex can tell it to enter night mode when my LED lights turn off? I just want to clarify before I start adding up my final purchase.

    Thanks!

I believe you have to incorporate the Vortech module into your apex system...someone with an apex verify this as I am a Digital Aquatics user.

I would really enjoy the DA setup!! I have been looking into the ReefKeeper Elite, its pretty impressive.

I have night mode enabled by the built in timer but would really like to have full control of my tank from my iPhones, iPad, Mac and browser.

    Profilux will too.

    For example, I have my MP10 set to Reef Crest from 8 - 1pm, ES NTM 1-5, Reef Crest 5 - 12am, and lagoon (65%) 12 - 8 am.

It requires an expensive $175 module though.

Don't even get me started haha.

Android friendly though! A new app was just released. Unfortunately I have an iPhone.

The Reef angel can communicate with Vortech pumps too...and it's both iPhone and Android-friendly, IRRC.

    Thanks!!!

This all came to when I was in Texas for a business trip and had to FaceTime with the girlfriend and talk her through turning off pumps, skimmer and powerhead to feed.

I would love to do it all from my phone just have her add food.
