Mandarin Goby Question?

I've had my Mandarin for about 4 months now. He's doing great and I got lucky enough that he eat's mysis shrimp, along with his all day pod hunting).;D Anyway, my question is I've noticed that sometimes he goes up to the glass and does a twitching thing. He's been doing this for a couple weeks now. The spot where he does the twitching thing is also right around where he sleeps. Is this some type of mating dance? I tried to catch him while doing it, but as soon as I get close with the camera he stops. Here is a pic of him anyway.

 

he might just be seeing himself in the reflection. if its a male he might be twitching to show aggression to scare himself off

 

LOL I'm pretty sure it's a male. That would be hilarious if that's what he's doing.

 

That would be my guess too. All of my male fish seem to do that. Glad he's doing well!

 

He is just bowing up in front of the mirror trying to see what he looks like when he is acting tough....LOL

 

haha I know. I didn't even think he was trying to act tuff. But it's hilarious that he's trying to scare off "the other male".
