so i have an infestation of these crappy annoying guys. i tried using aptasia X but it does not seem to work. nor do i know how to use it. it says to cover its oral disk, but it does not tell me what to do after. do i try to pry it out of a rock? and also I've read that a copper band butterfly fish eats majeno anemones? any input on these guys?

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Majano are very hard to remove and kill. I suggest using the kalk, but leaving the pumps off for around ten minutes, during it's use or longer. I do not use the needle on the syringe and put a dab on the top and let it sit. It is something you have to do consistently. Lastly you can remove the rocks and treat but that details planning and research. If you need more information on removing and treating the rocks let me know.

Copper band butterfly fish are often short lived in the average aquarium and many do not make it even long enough to eat all the majano. It is not a fish I would purchase or attempt to keep, they are very delicate.

    Good luck.

No, leave it be after treatment.
CBBs are hit and miss, and sometimes (most of the time they don't feed and die.

Can your remove the rock. I had these before winter. Removed the rock, kept it outside all winter. Nuked the rock. Seems to be the only way I could remove them.

They are very easy to rip off, if you can get to them. I have had them as well and with some sharp edged tweezers ripped their base from the rock. I have found it to be pretty successful.

I know this sounds crazy. I took a syringe and injected straight lemon juice in them. Killed them right away. Had NO effect on my water whatsoever. I buy lemon juice in the bottle. You dont need much at all. Just have to sneek up on them. It works.
