    will this pump quiet down any once it gets broken in/ bio film? i ran it in fw and its kinda loud.

    It should some. Place it on a sponge to dampen the vibration.

    Its actually on a shower towel folded up afew times lol. I guess ill hafta wait it out and see.

    also make sure that the pipes/hoses running from it aren't vibrating anywhere- often times people will use an electrical conduit clamps to lock down the PVC running from the return pump, but with no insulating material and even a little bit of slack, the pipe is able to vibrate and add to the overall 'hum' of the pump.

    Also as above said, try a sponge (like the type that are used for aquaclears) as a vibration absorbing piece.

    Ok ill try the sponge...its connected to vinyl tubing and double clamped with sprinkler clamps.im running it externaly.
