lost fish :(

I have nooo idea what happened to my little baby clown fish, I just noticed he wasn't there for feeding last night. I checked every filter compartment and I moved everything around. I didn't find ANYTHING not any remains or anything at all.. he was tiny tho. I have a 14 gal bio cube with a clown goby and a fire fish and crabs and snails thats it.. any ideas on what might have happened. he was my favorite fish I am really sad..

 

either he was sick or he got caught by a crab. What crabs did you have? I'm pretty sure the crabs ate the corpse; they always take an opportunity to eat a dead fish

 

I just have little blue leg hermit crabs.. and I saw him yesterday! and that night I noticed he was gone and I looked everywhere. he seemed perfectly healthy. But I guess they could have devoured him really quick he was tiinny

But that is one reason we call them clean crews, they do the job.

Try to get a larger clownfish if you replace it, they are more resilient, unless of course you already have a larger clownfish.

 

no.. he was really the only fish I had in my tank besides the clown goby he was special haha he only had two stripes he never got a change to get the third.. i'll get a bigger one I guess. maybe thats why he always hung out by the surface..

not that cute lil clown same thing happened with my baby black clown (i told you about that before though)...my other one always ends up in the back parts of the biocube...did you check all the compartments?

 

I checked the floor I checked every compartment like five times. its just gone...

 

i wanna say he got sucked through the pump in the back left compartment then. i think thats what happened to mine. im sorry though
it was so cute and special wit two stripes.

 

I knooowww im way sad... its okay I'll find one thats a little bit bigger I guess he was my favorite tho
