Large Angels?

    I was just wondering on how they say large angels aren't reef safe. How badly do they attack ur coral. Just wonderin!

    coral is one of their main food sources if that answers your question.

    they really like to eat coral. I had a small koran decimate 3 or 4 colonies of acro in about a weeks time

    Horrible....they eat all types of corals...sponges, SPS, LPS, softies.

    I know of a tank (is in a hospital) that had a very large angel placed in it. They had several, several thousands of dollars of corals in the tank. The tank was 850g (I think) so I guess they thought it would be ok. Well, they are coral-less now thanks to the angel.

    Id like to add that the supposed ablities of corals to sting is an ability that has no consequence to large Angel fish.

    Yea it sounds like thell eat rite up ur coral!
