    yeah i think it's the sun too but i'm in the middle of exams so i'll deal with that when i'm finished. i'm going to try to block the windows by putting big plants outside. if not i'll put up some curtains.

    thanks, still a work in progress. in a couple months i should have a full time job so i'm going to convert it to a reef then.

    i had just a little sun on my tank and its not a good idea id cover the windo better

    i had one heck of a alge problem when my tank was next to the window after i moved the tank it was an easy fix

    just an update.
    the diatoms have pretty much gone away and i have a lot of green,pink and purple coralline now.

    i got a nice shot of the royal gramma (killa milla). here it is.

    i give my tank some sunlight when there is some. its not the light that gives the algae the potential ot take over the tank its the nutrients. i have only seen good things on my coral anfter i added sunlight.

    the algae has really receded a lot and i'm in the process of setting up my sump/fuge so there should be even more improvement then. My tank was still very new when there was all the algae, now it's definitely better. I'm not sure if the pictures show it but in person it's a huge difference.
