I've been a member for a few months now, so it's time I understand the Karma and Rep power system a little better.

    1) Many times I see " +1 karma", so how does one go about giving someone props for good info, discussion or pictures?

    2) How does Rep power increase? Is it a matter of karma points given by other 3reef members? Or something the All Knowing moderators bless upon us for good deeds and worthy actions?

I hope I'm not the only one who doesn't get it...

    Thanks
    Ames

When you want to give someone karma, you click the little white "scale" button on the left of their post (under their username, etc.)

I'm not sure about rep power, but I believe it's based on how many posts a person has.

Your rep power is your karma divided by 100 and rounded up to the next whole number.
