    Here are some of the Biocube with one regular 50/50 PC bulb and the new LED Panorama Module. Everything seems to be responding well.

    Lights just on for 1/2 hour or so;

    Then, about 7 hours later

    Here is the 55 gal. with one LED module on;

    Nice looking tanks. How old is the Bio-Cube?

    How long have you been running the LED's? How do you like them? Can we get some more details on what exactly they are?

    They have come a long way in the last year or two.
    Bio is about 3 years old. LEDs are new, only a couple weeks. I like them fine so far. I posted what they are, the Panorama Module by Ecoxotic. On the 55 gal. I have one in there with 4 T5s, you don't get the good glitter effect but eventually I want to get one more Module and have the Hagen Glo fixture on the back of the tank and the 2 Modules in the front.
    Thanks........

    Led's have come further in the last 6 months then the last 3 yrs . The newest one really do a great job And the prices are getting better we paid 4,000 ea. for a few junk Solairs lights to do less then a 1/4 of what these modules by Panorama LED Fixtures . These are serious lights and very versatile the stunner power supply is totally filtered and regulated for even flows of steady 24 watts of power to keep them burning at 100% You can add more or less of the blue modules to get the look you want .

    very nice unclejed. Tanks are looking good.
    How affordable where the leds?
    I've been waiting for the price to come down a bit before making the plunge.

    Yes, the modules are $97.00, not great but not bad in the long run. On the 55 gal. I would need at least 4 modules so that would be $400.00, but, if you figure 4 T5s at roughly $20.00 each = $80.00 a year, in 5 years you have paid the same amount. Now the caveat, the LEDs can go 8-10 years they are claiming so if that is true, you cut your cost almost in half. Even if you only got 5 years from the LEDs, you don't have to replace your bulbs every 9-12 months. I think the limitation here is, if you want a different "look" by changing bulbs, you are strictly limited by the LEDs, if that is not an issue....all is good.
