So I go to this fish store in NYC and they have jellyfish in there. They're small. About the size of a half dollar, they look kind of flat on the top, and white/green-ish. The called them a lettuce something. I thought they were really cool, but the guy told me they need cooler water or something like that. I can't remember exactly.

Does anyone have a jellyfish? What's the requirements?

I had one of those.....It is an upside down jelly.
Requirements: Pristine water, constant steady salinity (can not tolerate even the slightest fluctuation of SG changes), bright lights and high dose feeding of zooplankton. It also requires very very low flow.

I sold mine as 1. had to do weekly water changes due to the high amount of feeding with low water flow, 2. very BORING fish....just layed on the bottom of the tank waving its tentacles. These jellys do not swim or float in the tank hardly at all. If you see it swimming then they are getting pushed by too much flow.

Mine doubled in size and did very well. However IMHO is not worth the work!

Yes , like everyone else said, EXTREMELY boring. The novelty wears off really fast.

I saw a couple of these a while ago. They are pretty neatto but need a constant flow of water and are not reef safe. They will sting and kill all your corals. They have a mild sting and hunt mostly zooplankton. I think they are interesting though.

Doesn't sound like it's worth the work at all. So much for that.

That photo looks like the one I took of my jellyfish about 3 months ago...

I have lots of upside down jellies, I culture them, they do not need prestine conditions, but do need low flow and plenty of light.

Some more updated pics when I was cleaning them out:

You could probably keep this jellyfish with other types of jellyfish in a kreisel set up
