I recently had to sell my reef due to being out of work for a little while  ,but i still have a 15 gallon tank that i want to switch over.i'll try to keep it short but this is going to be a very low budget tank as i can't stand not having a marine tank(it's driving me crazy!!)So here is my plan and question.First i only want to keep mabey 2 small fish, some inverts(mostly cuc)mostly base rock seeded with some live rubble, the only corals i'm looking to keep are some zoas/palys,mushrooms and some gsp(i'm keeping it simple)I managed to keep my skimmer out of the deal as well as a couple powerheads,I have have 2 flouresent hoods that i cut away what i could to double up the lighting (I have 2 new powerglo coral bulbs for them)(see pic)So question one-this lighting should be good enough for what i'm looking to keep, shouldn't it? My next question is-I have 2 hob 20 gal filters, one will run just the reg filter pads with carbon, the other i want to gut out and run just ceramic rings(just for extra bio fitering as well as additional flow) or is this overkill with running a skimmer also?TIA

You would be fine.... I had a aqua c remora pro on a 20 gallon.. you should be fine with 2 fish as long as they aren't very large... I had 3 fish in my 20h...

For flow I would say NO..... You could get away with using them and not a powerhead probably.. One for carbon, or phosgaurd and things and one for a filter cartridge maybe... I ran a hob rated for a 20 gal in my 5.5 with only a sponge and used it for only flow for a while and also a rio skimmer...

What is the total watts of lights you are going to be using?? I had 72 watts over my 5.5gal for a while then upgraded to 150w of mh.. LOL.... I have 24w over my 2.5 now...

With both hoods i'll have 2.5 wpg, that's why i'm sticking with lower light corals until i can afford to upgrade the lighting(which may be a while). And yea thats what i was thinking that i could do away with any powerheads and doulbe filter capacity at the same time.

That what I would do... It'll be fine.. I am happy with my tank even though its only a 2.5gal.. I just needed something to keep me in the game...
