Im new here!!

Hello all new to 3reef.com.... been a long time lurker of many reefing forums but decided its time to join.

First of my name is caleb im 19 years old and ive been reef keeping for 4 yrs now. started off with a 10g which i lost after 2 yrs due to a heater mafunction which pretty much boiled everything :/... after that hardship decided to make the plunge with a bigger tank so i got my hands on a 46g bowfront which i absolutely loved... got my brother into SW and hooked him up with a 40g breeder.... now, 2 yrs later decided it was time for another upgrade so i combined both tanks and im starting in on my new project... the 90g w/ 30g sump/refugium

loving the new tank so far...so much more room for coral growth...gave me a chance to get rid of unwanted damsels in the tank from the original cycle.. tank now houses the following

pair of clarkiis
pair of Gold stripe maroons
royal gramma
green clown goby
koran angel
yellow tang
hippo tang
yellow eyes kole tang
porcipine puffer
foxface

orange ricordia
red ricordia
GSP
green toadstool leather
finger leather
2 types of anthilia
15 varieties of zoos
torch
hammer
frogspawn
green digi
4 random acro
orange cap

lookinforward to gaining knowledge from using this site... any suggestion of forseen probs with the stocking list jus lemme know...help always appreciated

 

oh and im moving to Puerto Rico in 3 weeks for an internship at a youth camp... will be relying on my brother to keep everything going strong during my absence

Welcome. So is the list what you have now. Seems like a lot of fish. Could be wrong. Congrats of the upgrade. Be sure to do some reffing in Puerto Rico.

the Koran Angel would probably make a mess of many of those corals

saw a large one dissecting a LPS hammer coral recently in a LFS ( doh)

would also be over the limit in terms of stocking capacity allowing for all those fish at adult sizes

I know from experience Yellow and Hippo tangs have been OK, not sure what adding the Kole would do to that mix ?

thanks everyone and thanks om the suggestions... if i could get rid of anything it would be the koran and the foxface...not to fond of them... but my brothers 2 fav. :/ cant wait to get to PR and set up another tank
