I'll be finishing the basement over the next few months (that is a whole other DIY thread for a different site... and probably means I'll be hiring a contractor this summer to "fix" any ***ahem*** discrepancies...) and I'm debating about building a 150 gal or plus into a wall.

I'd be moving the inhabs of my 72 gal mixed reef over and expanding. Anybody have any suggestions for "optimal" equipment to include? Is it a good idea or a bad one to run some plumbing behind drywall (ie, RO/DI lines, master line for draining if needed, etc)? Anyone had experience selling a place with a large bulit in? Will this be a hassle?

    Thanks!

Are you planning on selling your house in the near future? Or is this just a down the road thing?

Not immediately down the road, but you never know!

Probably within 4 or 5 years... or when the Mrs. tells me she wants a bigger house, whichever comes first! :p

if its the basement i doubt it will be a big deal to sell it with a built in tank in the basement. I would actually think it would be a selling point, for any hobbiest. knock it up a few hundred gallons and you could call it a indoor pool. or leave the power heads and heater and its a hottube.

my point of view minimal disadvatange maximum advantage
