Why do you want to lower that? I keep mine between 12-16 That sounds good to me. Luna

IMO soft corals like 7-11KH and Hard corals like 11+KH. Sounds like you are fine no matter what you have.

I personally wouldnt change a thing, but thats just me. But if you want to lower it anyways, vinegar will lower it and raising your Cal levels will too. Luna

with Ca at 580 you actually need to raise the dKH, 20:1 ratio, you should have 29 dKH. both of which are too high, you max Ca shouldnt go over 500. you could add some dKH to lower the Ca, whats your Mg?

I dont have a Mg test, fish store was out today. She told me tuesday they will have one.

Everything seems to be fine animal wise that is, Corals open all the way up and are growing. Fish are all doing fine and eating well, My Hydrometer reads I am a little low on that as well at like 1.21

1.21 is high, 1.026 is better.

Mg is the buffer between Ca and dKH, Ca and dKH dont play well together.
