hoping deal works out

I am very excited about this possibility! As you all know our 3 month old 125g tank broke a couple months ago due to a faulty heater in our overflow (long story short.......heated up to 98.9 water and had heater in overflow and when it malfunctioned cracked the glass from top to bottom in overflow) Heater company says it is tanks responsibility, tank says it is heaters responsibility, so basically means it is ours! This is sadly our 2nd faulty tank in under 1 year and we lost everything! Been building things back up slowly in a 28g tank but still looking for replacement!

Was searching craigslist today and found a great deal on a brand new 120g Oceanic RR tank with stand, sump, canopy, bulkheads, plumbing supply and controller. I have contacted them to see if it is still up (was posted late last night) but the price is AMAZING! The only thing that will not work is this tank is tall and our tank is long, so we will have to buy new lights for the system and will be selling our lights......however the price is so good that it is definatly worth it! The tank was never set up and has sat in his garage and he needs it gone. So here is to hoping that this works out well for us! Will post more info if/when we get it

 

Well the tank is ours! YEAAHHH!!!! The tank was available still and at this price had to jump all over it! Now that everything is official here is the details!

120 Oceanic Tech

we will have to finish the stand and buy new lights, but we have time to do all that! I am thinking we will use our sump (as it is like 65g and that sump looks small) Now to sell our lights (2 36" outer orbit fixtures, each with 2 250w MH bulbs and 4 actenic) Maybe will look at LED lights?

Great size, perhaps you can get some of those great puffers you like if you are not going corals.

 

Brand new never set up Oceanic 120 tech with unfinished red oak stand and euro reef sump. Dolphin return pump and aqua controller jr. with both dc8 and dc4 giving you 12 controllable outlets. Tank is brand new and has all bulk heads for plumbing in and out of tank. Over $2500 invested in this set up. I need it out of my garage. My loss your gaiN

I knew he was going to remove the posting so I copied it. It is a glass tank, with stand and canopy. Might consider getting a new stand once we look at it. Couldnt really tell from the pictures. I am excited that it has a controller with it! Plus the front is Starphire!

Going to replace our big reef tank in the living room! We have maxed out the 28g. Will be focusing on the FOWLR tank later, might patch up the broken overflow on the 125 in an ugly manner and build that into a wall in the basement and use that for a new Goldie tank?
