Keep him in a small tupperware in the tank with a few holes. Flow is the enemy of a stressed fish, weakened he will be blown around and then sucked into a powerhead (hopefully not). Just helps him convalesce.

Hmm he seems to have found a spot thats very low movement, I created a pretty sweet little cave for him. He's just stayin in there, and I moved allll my hermits to the corner they are all munchin on diatoms and a dead snail, I dont know if I want to stress him out more by putting him in a tupperware he seems to be doin alright in his little cave I dont want to chase him down... man I feel bad for the lil guy.

Always put them back in water, you never know. When I was a kid, my friend had an oscar that jumped out of his tank. When we saw it on the floor, it looked like a piece of dried leather. He had to peel it off of the carpet. It was stuck down good. He tossed it in the tank, and it started swimming around. Carpet fuzz was on one side of the fish for a few days, but it recovered fine.

Just leave him be. "Finding" him would only benefit you, not him.
