So i was doing my aquascape and my fire fish JUMPED out of my tank, and it went behind and I thought it I saw it just go into the over flow, so I continued with my piece I was doing and then I looked into the over flow and didn't see him, so I thought maybe he just went down into his bolt hole... so I didnt' see him for a little bit. and then I looked into overflow again and he wasn't there so I was worried so I looked behind my tank and there he was :( I felt so bad I picked him up and he was already a bit dried out, so i figured he was dead and I put him in a cup with some freshwater... and I went out to to tell my mom, and it started moving!!! in the cup, I was so surprised so I just hurried and put him back into the tank, and he's moving around and he looks okay.. it took him a bit to move around because his fins were dried together, I thought it was so dead!!! he was out of the water for at LEAST five minutes. im like beyond amazed right now. if it lives it just got a new name LUCKY! do you think it will be okay?

He might, I had a blenny out of my tank for 15 then it survived. I would put it in a cup in your tank so as he recuperates he won't be attacked by hermits.

no I mean this is AMAZING it was out of the water for a very long time. I didn't know it went OUT of the tank. And I just continued on with the rock work. I picked him up and it was like hard and dried, I was just like :( oh... its dead my mom was like put him back in the water it might live! I gave her a mean look and was like YEA RIGHT mom, its so dead. I mean this thing just came back to life his back fins are still stuck together I think.. but he is swimming around. Should I try feeding him??

lol, that sounds like a pretty fitting name!I had a freshwater black eel once in an upstairs tank that crawled out, crawled out of my bedroom and i found him on the bottom step of the first story,he was DRY,covered in cat hair and dust,he looked so bad and wrinkled up like a prune.Knowing he was dead,i put him in the toilet to flush him,but as soon as he hit the water, all the crud washed right off,his skin expanded back and he went wild!So after toilet diving i rushed him back up to my tank where he lived for several years after that!Good luck!
