I was at my local Hhgregg this morning, and meandering around the headphone isle. They had Beats by Dr. Dre set out for a sample. They were the Studio over-ear model. The bass was deep and the headphones were stylish. But, because they carry Dr. Dre's name, they were $300!! I'm currently using Klipsch over-ear headphones, and for half the price of the studios, they aren't even comparable. :( Would those of you with experience with high quality headphones have any tips for brands and models that aren't too pricey? I was looking into Bose Quietcomfort headphones; those were godly, but also $300...

most people think skullcandys are crap, but i have 3 pairs, the skullcrushers and two other over the ear headphones by them and they are fantastic for their price. the skullcrushers are about 70 dollars but are great, they have built in subwoofers and all.

those beats are a scam! they are just as good quality as skullcandys but like you said they put dr. dres name on them and they can charge hundreds. the most insane thing is that people actually buy them!

Let alone the Beats are made by Monster, which is generally overpriced... I'm also looking into Sennheiser. I hear they have great comfort and quality.

No. xD Monster Cable. They sell all sorts of audio and theatre cables and other equipment, which are overpriced.

i would seriously consider skullcandy skullcrushers, they are insanely good headphones, easily comparable with beats or bose headphones for a fraction of the price.
