    Hello everyone!

I got in to the whole aquarium business just 8 months ago, and bought my first zoas and green star polyps just about a week ago. Im very new to all of this, and appreciate all who take the time to help others out here on the forums...;D

WOW! Someone who actually has patience! Welcome. I always ascribe to the 4-6 month mark for soft coral introduction and 8-10 for the more difficult coral. Now, I must tell you since you are new and don't know any better. We here......NEED PICS!! Hurry, we can't wait! Don't forget the full tank shot.

Welcome to 3reef! That's awesome that you're taking it slow. A lot of people have already tried 3 anemones by now.

Thanks for the warm welcome! ;D

Heres is my 55 gallon saltwater set up. I currently have Fiji Live Rock, and honestly I am a bit unsatisfied of the way it currently looks. I really want to get more live rock (probably a different type, but I don't know what will satisfy me I need to do more research). There is currently some algae growing on the sand and live rock (looks lime green in some places, dark green in other, and brown on the sand). I am trying to take control of this. Its too soon to tell if it is working, but I did a 25% water change a few days ago, and I will do another in a week and half.

    Livestock:
    • Hippo Tang
    • Yellow Tang
    • 2 Clown Fish
    • 2 Scooter Blennies
    • Cleaner Shrimp (can't be seen in these pictures)
    • Priest-hat Urchin (can't see him in these pictures, he is currently in the back)
    • Debelius' Reef Lobster (he constantly hides under the rocks and comes out only at nights or during feeding)
    • A bunch of snails and small hermit crabs

    Coral:
    • Red/Green Zoas (not sure of the proper names)
    • Green Star Polyps
(they are both just waking up, the lights just turned on a few minutes ago)

    Hardware:
    • 55 gallon Aqueon tank
    • Koralia power head
    • AquaticLife 6 lamp T5 lighting with moon lights
    • Tom Rapids RP3 Pro Filter with Skimmer
    • I also need to get a chiller before summer rolls around

I am a huge perfectionist, and because of that I am not happy with my rock set up :-/ I feel like its too BLAH, nothing special. I also feel like there is not much "good" space to place corals. But anyways, what do you guys think? Any tips and suggestions would help, I am up for criticism!

Btw, I also attached larger versions of these pictures (down at the bottom) for better detail.

Welcome to 3reef, rock set up looks very nice. I would just add some more base rock to get more coral placement room.
