Hello from Oregon

    Hello my name is Cory and im new to reef building. I have had a tank for more than ten years but the last five it hasnt been set up. When I bought my tank ten years ago (60 gallon acryllic w/ a wet sump) I had bio balls and some sort of filter fabric that the water would run through etc.

    Now I go to my LFS and find out thats not how its done anymore. So I bought 80 lbs of LS and 80 lbs of beautiful LR 3 damsels and now im off and running. I used ro/di saltwater from the LFS got a new heater and ordered 36 " t5 lights that I will get after the tank cycles. Anyways this site is great and seems to be full of very knowledgable and helpful people.

    Well the guy at the LFS said I could cycle my tank with a few cheap damsels or some dead shrimp and I chose the damsels. Its been up for one week now and there still alive and kicking.
