Hi, we are new on here. We joined a while back but haven't introduced ourselves yet.

My husband, son and I currently have a 75 gallon saltwater tank, a 20 gallon freshwater planted tank and we just started a 3 gallon saltwater pico tank. We are going to setup our 200 gallon Oceanic reef ready tank hopefully in the next few months.

Our 75 gallon has been set up for about a year. We have a few zoo's, Xenia's and two leather corals. This tank does not have a sump and is only filtered by a Rena 4 canister filter. We are planning on putting most of this established live rock in the 200 gallon tank once it's set up and then turn this tank into a fish only tank with some live rock.

you should turn your 75 into your sump/fuge when you get the 200 up and running :). Just an idea..

Thanks for the welcome greetings! This site is great and full of information. We have already learned alot of things on this site that we will plan to use when setting up our 200 gallon.

gutierrezre - Thanks for the idea about using our current 75 for a sump/fuge but we forgot to mention earlier that our 200 gallon came with a 65 gallon sump.

We still need to purchase a protein skimmer and we are leaning towards a Aqua C - EV240. We would like to put everything under the tank stand so our clearance is only 28 inches. Any other suggestions that might be better?

We still need lighting as we didn't purchase good lighting when we bought the tank setup. But we have a friend that is maybe going to make us a DIY LED lighting. ;D
