    Hello everyone.Could some please explain pump head pressure and how to determine what it is.

    Pump head pressure is how long your pipe is from the pump to the tank.

    In a Nutshell--If you take a power head and just let it shoot water it looks like it is shooting pretty hard--If you attach a hose on it and try to make it pump water from a trash can up and over the top of your tank and it wont do it----That is low "head pressure"--Hope that helps
