Working at a LFS I see many of the new Stealth pros that have blown up or stopped working. What are some heaters that have a high reputation for quality?

I haven't had problems with my Stealth heater, but my mom's went crazy and turned her tank up to 95 degrees. Thankfully she only lost one fish.

I never had any problems with my old stealth, but these new ones seem very cheep. I constantly have people calling me about issues with them. I believe we are about to stop selling them until marineland fixes the issues with these heater.

That's good to know. I am planning on buying a few extra heaters, and would have gone Stealth. I'll go a different route based on what people suggest on here.

I like my JBJ "True Temp" Titanium Heating System. Comes with digital controller, heater safety guard, smart memory chip and magnetic heater and probe holders. Works great, no problems so far.

I bought a marineland Stealth (I think) heater about 5-6 months ago and it's been good so far.

So did I, but after seeing so many that have blown-up or not turning off has me looking for a new heater. If I could find the old stealth heaters i would buy a few of them.

I want to check to see what I actually have, but that's not a bad idea.
