I get home from work and with the kitchen light shining over I see this large shadow on the back glass of the tank. I quickly get the flashlight and see this huge stomatella snail there. This guy has to be about 3-3 1/2 inches long. Never imagined that they get this big. The other walls of the tank have a few here and there crawling around. [IMG][IMG]

they really are creepy like from a horror flick. I see them above the water line a lot of times and swear they can gang up and perform a raid out of the tank lol. They are extremely great cleaners and they don't stop mowing.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
They are gentle Igors (Frankenstein), I find them charming. I have white ones and red ones as well. Without hermits their populations explode.
    That is a large one.

thanks....I got my first one as a hitchhiker on a acro colony and the population exploded lol.

It scared me for a second seeing that. Didn't think they can grow to that size. My last hermit died a month and half ago. I bought 2 emerald crabs because I have a bit of a bubble algae problem, but those 2 are useless lol. they enjoy prepared food more. My foxface is doing more of a job taking care of that then the crabs.

Haha, I have a massive population of these in my tank. I see my Cleaner do more of a job on them than the hermits.
