I just removed all the stock filtration and then built a stand to hold media and filter floss. The important part was having the floss up high enough to catch the water coming out of the overflow.

Thanks a lot. That means a lot considering you have one of my favorite tanks on this site.

Just got done feeding my tank and here are a few thoughts for anyone interested.

    1) Clowns are mean. Mine bites me, it steals food from my corals even when it isn't hungry, it chases anything that moves, and it violently hosts corals in place of an anemone.

    2) Large hermits steal food from corals, but they are slow and easy to move.

    3) Cleaner shrimp also like to steal food, and they are fast.

    4) Xenia, while a good indicator of water condition, simply grows too fast for a small tank. Green Star Polyps also respond to water conditions and are easier to contain.

I'm sure some will have different experiences. This is just what I have noticed in my tank.

Upgraded my lighting from 64 watts to 80 watts. One of the bulbs isn't working properly though. I will post pictures once the replacement arrives.

So, I contacted the ballast and bulb manufacturer. Ballast company says I have bad bulbs, bulb manufacturer says I have bad ballasts. Super. Not sure exactly how to handle this. I have two ballasts, and three bulbs. One bulb works on both ballasts, two bulbs work on neither ballast. This is driving me nuts.
