So, I finally introduced my new Royal Gramma into my tank today! (Woohoo!) But he was a bit nervous to eat so we went to feed him some frozen food. My wife was excited about the addition and asked how she could help, I said well you can add some of the garlic to it (the suppliment we have from kent) to entice him to eat. So during the preperation an entire clove (not a bulb thankfully) was minced and got added to the mix.

So long story short, it all got introduced by my better halfs help... Should I be worried? Tank smells of garlic (smells alot better than the skimmate), and thus far I see no ill effects. Going to do a water change in the morning, but has anyone heard of major disasters involving garlic? ATM I think its just a case of overfeeding... but someone else confirming it would mean alot.

    Much thanks,
    Gavin

I am not sure how big your tank is, but next time I would just use a drop or 2 on the food.

Da Gppherboy - 10 or so years ago, people where just getting into the garlic additive as I recall , and I know many people on a site I used to be on at that time, where crushing full cloves and adding them to their sumps, not just one or 2 people , many people where using this method.

so Im certain there is no harm done in this case
