    just a quick question what type of lighting schedule is best for a fuge should it be opposite or the same of the main tank and why should it be that way

    I run mine opposite schedule.

    Could be wrong...but I believe alternating the lighting on the fuge and the display is supposed to help maintain the ph in your tank. Instead of carbon dioxide levels increasing and lowering your ph, the plants in your fuge continue to utilize the CO2, reducing the swing of your ph at night.

    i run my sump light all the time accept for during the 4 hottest hours of the day

    I have heard the same thing So I run mine at night also.

    He is correct. Mine are the opposite from the DT. It doesnt make sence to run them at the same time as the DT. Luna
