Next time you do a water changed, do as big a one as you can... Then give it a shot. It's easier w/ less water in the tank IMO. Definitely easier with a extra pair of hands helping ya out though.. Maybe snail boy? I'm sure he'd lend a hand :) lol. But yeah, try what JLL said too.. I did that with my shrimp, along with lowering the water.

Hate to tell ya, but it's probably just gunna be easiest to take out a few rocks though...

you could also try turning on all the lights in the middle of the night. sometimes, the fish are caught in a daze like humans are when they are waken up during a heavy sleep. from there, try netting them. HTH.

It didnt hurt mine as long as the barb is off of it and she is still doing well at the LFS. the barb is what really makes it rough for the fish the point isnt all that bad IMO but there are other traps that work to ;D

Clear plastic bag - thread fishing line around the mouth through a slipknot on the end, give yourself enough line so you can sit far enough from the tank where the fish is not suspicious. Put the bag in the tank (weigh it down with some rock rubble), and put some mysis or other tasty snack in there. When the suspect goes in the bag, yank on the line so it closes the mouth of the bag.

I had to remove an angel from my 150 a month ago that was nipping coral. Spent an entire night trying to net him, with the plastic bag I had him in under 10 minutes.
