So as the title says this is my first SW setup and I am loving it so far - here is a brief description of my setup(im sure ill forget something) and a few pics, I have since made some changes with my rock and will have to take more pics once my lights come on for the day.

    -40 gallon breeder
-40lbs of CaribSea’s Arag-Alive sand, 20lbs of Fiji Pink, 20lbs of I forgot the type
-50ish lbs of live rock, mostly fuji and tonga
-For lighting I had originally went with a Coralife Aqualight High Output T5 Fixture but after a few days of it being on the tank and reading online about proper lighting I ordered the same unit again(so that my $140 light would not go to waste) so currently I have a 4x39w setup
-I am using 2 maxi jet 1200 with rotating powerheads(not sure of the brand) on a wave maker
    -AquaClear 70 filter with a Chemi-pure filter
-AquaC Remora skimmer with a Rio 800 pump(I plan to upgrade to the Maxi 1200 asap)
    -LED moonlight lamp

    Cleaner Crew

    -14 nassarius snails
    -4 mexican turbo snails
    -7 margarita snails
    -2 blue eyes hermit
    -8 blue legged hermit
    -1 scarlet red crab
    -1 serpent star

I am going to get 2 cleaner shrimp today when the store opens

    Coral

    - I mostly have zoo's for the simple fact that I think they are cool looking(and i hear they are great for beginners)
    - Frogspine(sp?)
    - Few small mushrooms

    Fish

    - 2clowns - before I got the fish every time I brought something home my wife asked how much was all that? Now that I have fish in the tank, that she feeds and has named she is more excited about adding to the tank and hasnt asked me how much $ has cost - it worked out great.

Well I think I have covered just about everything, I look forward to hearing comments, suggestions or questions about my tank - thanks!

You are forgetting the most important item -- test kits.

    Iv got that covered -

    - Reef Master Test Kit
    - API 5 in 1 test strips
    - In tank ammonia alert - and Ammonia neutralizer, I havnt had a problem with ammonia but thought it would be a good idea to have the neutralizer just in case
    - C scope refractometer
    - digital thermometer

    Looks good.

Oh, and it's Frog Spawn. Because the ends look like frog eggs.

    Welcome to 3reef.
