Is there something else I should be feeding my CUC or is the left overs from the fish and natural growth in the tank enough?

Whatever they scavenge is sufficient plus any algae. I also feed my fish Ocean Nutrition Formula II pellets and some do sink and are eaten by the CUC.

Mine eat any algae + detritius on my cc sandbed & a few pellets of ON Formula 2. I also feed algae Hikari wafers.

you shouldn't even be feeding the fish enough to have leftovers if you can at all help it.

they will find their own food (if you feed it, it's not really part of the CuC IMO)

A starved to death member of the clean up crew is just food for the rest.

Sounds more like a chain reaction if you let that happen. Soon you will have to spend another good chunk of money on another crew because there will be 1 left.

just how it is. really don't need to worry about the CuC eating...

Only a few of the species in a CuC are meat eaters. You will not get to a point where there is only 1 left. You have a CuC, in part, to take care of death when it happens. That's just how nature works.

They are cleaning up. If you're feeding them, they are not cleaning.

If you have a good CuC for your tank then this is not a concern whatsoever as the balance will take care of itself.
