low phosphate flakes if they'll eat it, and a lot people like to mix up their foods once in a while with live or frozen or add vitamin and garlic supplements to keep the fish looking colorful and healthy.

I would feed them a mix of frozen, preferably a WIDE variety with little brine.. Too many people feed a majority of the diet as brine shrimp and it is not too nutritious!! Mix up some plankton, mysis, as well as the PE mysis which is larger and a freshwater mysis, chopped up nori, fish eggs, clam, chopped squid and krill. If you are planning on keeping anthias be prepared to feed AT A MINIMUM 3 times a day with 5 being mush better!! Same goes with chromis and other planktivores....
I like to stay away from flakes as IME they are too easy to over feed and are too much of a pollutant issue, but again I am also a "Purist" and don't feed any terrestrial foods like lettuce or broccoli either.

Make sure when using commercial frozen that you rinse the food out first as they are preserved with a high PO4 preservitive!!

    Happy feeding!!

I take all my different kinds of food, thaw them, then mash them all together and freeze it in bags. That way I have a wide variety of food every time! :)
