Moments ago, I just happened to walk into my fish room just to check my thermometer... No chiller-go figure....
I noticed my feather duster pumping/squirting white/cloudy stuff from it's tube. I ran to get my camera to record a vid but by the time I got back, it already stopped. I sort of looked like the stuff that comes out of those fog machines. Could this mean that my feather dusters are spawning? Was it eggs or sperm it was pumping out?

i think that maybe feather dusters send out already fertilized eggs...

That's pretty cool. . . in a kinda weird and dorky way. Let us know what little joys come(;)) from the feather-duster reproduction.

Everyone says that feather duster/tubeworms will reproduce like mad. I have had one in my rock for 3 years now and it hasn't reproduced at all. It sounds like it released gemates into the water. You may see new ones pop up soon.

My tiny ones do, especially in my mantis tank. Haven't witnessed any spawning but new ones pop up all over the place.

Thanks for the responses. I guess soon enough I will be able to see what pops up but I know that they take forever to grow. I wish I had gotten my camera in time it would have been a cool video;)
