    well let me tell you guys that i have started a new DIY project, i bought 2 auto top off valves (1 to have as a spare) and a Tom Aqua Lifter, and my plan is to place the valve in the sump at the level of water i need and connect it to an extension cord where the pump will be connected also and by this the valve will be controlling the pump. now the pump will intake water from a 10 gal tank and release it in my sump whenever the valve is low. my project cost me $5 each valve and $12 for the Aqua Lifter plus shipping,, but its a great and easy concept
