Guys, what if it's possible to say, is the norm ?
    I have a 90 cube, glass top, 45 gallon sump/refugium t5(pretty crappy).
I am adding about 10 gallons a week as top up ? This seems excessive, buy honestly don't know ? I hear that some have a "automatic top up" on their tanks, but don't know much about them (anything to be honest)
I don't have a leak, as would imagine I would have noticed it by now , I live iw northern Alberta, so it's not very warm either ?

Hard to say if there is a 'norm', but I kinda doubt it. However, I'm not sure if room temp has much to do with it. Tank temp and room humidity will drive evaporation IMO. That said, AC keeps my home at 72F, and my 29g tank is at 78F with a glass top and no sump and I add 1/2g per day.

I do a gallon a day. 75 gallon tank 29 gallon sump. If you have any fans directly on the surface that will speed up the evaporation as well.

I go through 12-15 gallons a week on a 100G with a 30G sump so yours is normal. Spectrapure builds an assortment of ATO systems from basic and very inexpensive to elaborate, I have the Ultra Precise Level Controller II myself and love it, no more topping off by hand. They are a 3Reef Sponsor too and its nice to support those who support this site ane the hobby.

    yeah sounds somewhat normal...

my 150, with halides and t5s with a 55 gallon sump, i go through about 9 gallons... halides on for 7 hours, t5s on for 13.. sump has fans that come on at 80*

make sure your skimmer isnt skimming really wet... dry skimming will help save with topping off as much..

There are many different reasons for evaporation. I have a similar system and my system evaporates 14 to 16 gallons a week. Would you like to evaporate less?
