I'm not sure what I will do with the 55 it might end up a frag tank if i can afford them both I just bought a new 4 bulbT-5 Marinland light fixture off E-bay for it for 100 bucks so I might end up with them both running the 4 T-12 are a pain to work around in the canopy so I'm gonna get rid of them one way or another . This summer with the both tanks and the pool pump and then throw in the AC I might need another job !

I unplugged one of the 8 computers in my house when I setup my tanks ... I have noticed no change in my electric bill.

The worst part about it is, that they raised the rates in Aug. and they what to raise it again in Jan. b/c of gas prices(back then). Also, since they're changing out alot of the elec. poles, they want more money. In a typical summer month, my bill usually reaches the $300 mark. Luna

I know it kills me. Texas power is 50% more than surrounding states.

I know people in these 4-5000 square foot homes pay upwards of $800 a month in the summer. And they don't even have fish!
I live in a one bedroom condo and was $300 two months ago ,, last was $170.

The electric bill is one reason I moved to t5's and moved the sump back under my tank. One thing to remember about having a basement sump in the winter months is how cold is your basement? My basement is for storage so I do not pump to much heat to it. So last winter I noticed my heaters were on quite a bit. When I used the calculator on RC I was going to save $30 to $40 a month.
