    so i have a dersea clam that has adhered himself so a quarter of him is under a rock. can i just pull him off of the rock and move him? will that hurt him?

    It is a dry heat, yeah right !
    You have to cut the basal threads. Pulling it off can hurt it. Just go slow whatever you do.
