    i am planning on starting a 75g reef tank with 25g sump and 15g ref rough est. and was planning on using around 60lbs of base rock and around 20lbs of live rock then from there adding 3 to 5lbs during the cycle and was wondering if i could do that and be ok along with a good non fish method to cycle thank you

    why would you add 3-5lbs during the cycle?
    why not just add it first off?

    anyways it wont hurt might add another little nitrate spike

    just dont have your tank up and running good and then add a bunch of rock, it has to be added a little at a time. I still add rocks that I find at the lfs that are really cool. Try not to pick out boulders with no holes.
