So I was watching my fish after lights out last night and noticed some odd and funny behavior. For starters, my firefish has his own little hole in the rocks where he sleeps. Every night after lights out he hovers closer and closer to his hole before darting in for bed. Well last night, my cleaner shrimp decided to rest by the hole. I guess not wanting to be seen going to bed, the firefish was stuck with no place to go. Every once in a while he would take a run at the shrimp trying to shoo him away but to no avail. The shrimp took it as a sign that someone finally wanted to be cleaned and tried to jump on. Needless to say this went on for about 30 min before the shrimp got tired of it all and let the firefish go to bed.

The clowns were also having a fun time last night. They always sleep together underneath the powerhead but i guess they couldn't decide on a bedtime last night. One would go under and try to coax the other in. It would swim under the ph for awhile and then come out and do the submissive shake next to the other one and then swim back to the ph as if saying it's bedtime. They took turns doing this for quite awhile until I guess they both got tired and went to bed.

Just when you think you have your fish figured out they go and do crazy stuff like this. Just thought I'd share with you guys, it was pretty comical to watch them all last night.

A few nights ago, my clowns who have never had any interest in hosting any anemones, well, they are now loving my ricodea rock!

    What a hobby!

lol they will usually host inanimate objects first then got to an odd coral then theyll start looking at the anemone....at least thats what mine did. it took them 6 months to host my long tentacle meanwhile my maroon clown hosts 3 anemones leaving only the long tentacle left for the percs...yes they coexist only if they stay on opposite sides of the tank but if the percs go near her side boy for a 2" fish shes got an attitude!
